Show Trial of the Century.

Today is the second day of the BC “Human Rights” Tribunal hearing of the complaint against McLean’s Magazine. It is sickening stuff to read the live blogging coming from it. In this case the tribunal are nothing more than the Dhimmi servants keeping the rest of us Kafirs in line for their Muslim masters.

Lets look at some other problems and effects of the hearing which, it must be noted, are not out of step with the tribunal’s normal operations. As best as I can tell the BC human rights tribunal exist to destroy every last vestige of personal responsibility and to ensure that no one can ever be subject to even the most mild form of criticism or correction.

The tribunal is run by a group of petty dim-witted leftists who like to pretend their judges while using their office as a soap box for their radical social activism. The rulings that the BCHRT has issued on subjects from hand washing in restaurants, complaining of unruly tenants, or the right of lesbians to have their weddings wherever they please has been in direct opposition to 800 years of legal tradition. They have undermined the employer’s ability to get a reasonable quality of work out of a worker, or even demand he show up at the job. The HRT has ruled that religious organisations do not have the right to decide who may rent their property. They have done all this while ignoring even the most basic principles of Justice. The case against a landlord proceeded even though he had not been notified of it. There are no rules of evidence and property right mean nothing to these power-crazed leftist reactionaries. The rights of you the defendant appear to mean nothing to them. The accused do not have a right of discovery, there is no question of prejudicial prior bad acts being admitted, and the opinions of others can be used as evidence against you.

The tribunal has no problems regarding jurisdiction to hear a complaint either. They hear your pathetic whining even if you are offended reading an article in central Canada, printed in central Canada, by a central Canadian media outlet. They’ll hear your complaint regardless. Furthermore, the kind people at the tribunal will hear your complaint even though you have made the same complaints to other provincial “Human Rights” commissions and even the federal CHRC (the subject of on-going RCMP and parliamentary investigations). Last I checked you don’t have to answer for the same speeding ticket in three different places.

This is not simply a full blown assault on freedom of speech in Canada; it is an attack on the basic principles of common law. This is a precedent-setting assault on freedom within the Dominion, the gravity of which will only increase once the guilty verdict is returned. The next phase will very likely consist of an order to cease printing anything remotely bad about Muslims, or even worse, McLean’s will be told to print the propaganda of the Jew-hating Mohamed Elmasry.

Since the law states that intent and truth are not defences for subjecting someone to hatred or contempt, McLean’s will be found guilty. When the verdict is returned it will not only restrict the right to communicate thoughts, facts, opinions, and theories. It will also represent a de facto attack on the reader as well. You may only read material that the human rights police have approved. None of this is new, of course, but the higher the profile, the bigger the precedent.

Keep the political pressure on at the federal level. If the CHRC can be slain the rest can be made to follow. Write the Attorney General and your MP and tell them that the committee investigation is not good enough. The only acceptable action on their part is the abolition of the CHRC. However, in the long term there will need to be constitutional change or this will happen again. The Charter of Rights is a weak document that does more to hurt your rights than protect them. Canadians are worthy of a constitution that will protect their right of speech, the press, religion, association, and property.

The enemy is within.
