Folks, I live in Canada where the federal human rights commission does not protect free speech. I want this site to exercise free speech, but … don’t get me into court or drag the coppers to my front door or worse. So, please be intelligent, but not vulgar, and try not to personalize if not necessary (sometimes it is, but we have to reserve the really harsh remarks for clearly recognizable public figures.

The Human Rights Commission has just dismissed a complaint filed under Section 13 as being “…contrary to the guarantees of human rights in Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Charter…”. Perhaps the Long Winter of Discontent is over, eh? Recall the lines from “King Lear”? “Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York”.
